In May of 2012 I travelled to Sedona, Arizona to take part in a Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher class. At the time I was not thinking of teaching, but our Reiki Masters Laurelle and Michael told us that eventually we would teach. A few months after returning from Sedona, I received guidance that it was time to teach. I was gung-ho and thought I would start teaching in the fall. However, I received further guidance to wait until the spring of 2013. The fall of 2012 was spent planning and preparing for this new venture and I am excited to share it with you. If you have received guidance that now’s the time to learn Reiki, then I am humbled and honored that you are considering me as your Reiki Master Teacher . . . let us begin!

Registering for a Class
All classes are held at Loving Heart Reiki, LLC, 433 Grand Canyon Drive, Suite 2, Madison, WI. To register for a class, you may click on the PayPal button below associated with the class you would like to attend or you may register by sending a cheque and the registration form at least two weeks in advance of the class date made out to Loving Heart Reiki and mailing it to:

Please note that a deposit is required to hold your space with full payment required at the start of the class. If registering through PayPal, a registration form is not necessary. If your registration and payment are received after the class has become full, your payment will be returned to you immediately or you may wish to put it towards the next scheduled class. Cash (please do not send cash through the mail), cheques, credit card, and PayPal are all accepted as payment for a class (if using PayPal, please complete your transaction prior to the class and bring your receipt with you).
All deposits are non-refundable except in the event that Teresa cancels or delays a class due to weather (please see ‘Weather Policy’ below) or illness.
Housekeeping
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of a class to give yourself enough time to go to the bathroom and settle in. You may wish to dress comfortably, and please feel free to bring along whatever else you need to be comfortable. If you require special assistance, please contact Teresa in advance of the class date and she will try to accommodate you in any way she can. You may bring a bagged lunch as the room will be available to you over the lunch hour. There are several restaurants in close proximity including Panera Bread up the street and Legends Sports Bar next door.
Please do not wear perfume, aftershave or cologne to the class. Some people are very sensitive to aromas which can trigger allergic/asthmatic reactions and/or uncomfortable feelings.
Parking
The parking lot behind the building is reserved for Duncan Edward clients. Please park on the street in front of the building when you attend classes.
Out-of-Town Students
If you are in need of lodging you may call the AmericInn at 1-800-634-3444 or the Radisson at 1-800-967-9033 to arrange for accomodations (alternatively you can book online). Mention that you are taking Reiki classes with Loving Heart Reiki and you will receive a discounted rate. The AmericInn is located at 516 Grand Canyon Drive and the Radisson at 517 Grand Canyon Drive, both just up the street from Loving Heart Reiki within walking distance.
Weather, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Depending on the weather conditions on the date of a class, Teresa may decide that it is in the best interest of her students to cancel or delay a class. If a class is cancelled, a new date will be selected for the class. If you are unable to attend on the rescheduled date, a full refund will be provided. It may be decided that a class will simply be delayed by an hour or two and again, you may choose to accept a full refund or decide to take the class at the newly designated time. If a class is cancelled or delayed, Teresa will notify you as soon as possible at the number you provided. She will also post on the LHR facebook page regarding cancellations or delays. If Teresa does not contact you, please assume that the class is on. If you are unsure if a class is cancelled or delayed, please call Teresa at 608-346-3424.
In the case of illness or personal emergency on your part, your deposit may be credited towards a future class or session. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Teresa at 608-346-3424.
Reiki for Children
This class is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Reiki is a helpful tool for children to enhance self-esteem and confidence at home, at school and on the playground. We will begin with introductions and a short meditation. We will learn the history of Reiki and learn about the chakras and aura with fun activities. We will learn hand positions for ourselves and others. The Level 1 attunement will be explained and given and then we will take a lunch break. After the break we will do a grounding exercise and then give and receive Reiki in a practice session. Parents are welcome to attend the class with their children, but will be asked to leave while the attunement is given. All materials will be provided and a certificate issued at the end of the class. Class size is limited to 6.

Usui Reiki – Level I
Reiki translates as “Universal Life-Force Energy” and is an energy system that is easy to learn and use. The class will include guided meditation, instruction, practice and the Reiki I Attunement. Participants will learn the history of Reiki, about energy and the chakras, the hand positions, and how to do Reiki on themselves and others in person or distant. As a Reiki student you will learn a wonderful method for centering and relaxation that is always with you which can be used easily at any time. A Reiki Level I manual will be provided and a certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the class. Class size is limited to 6.

This class will include guided meditation, instruction, practice and the Reiki II Attunement. Participants will learn the traditional Reiki symbols and two newer symbols and how to use them for hands on and distant Reiki. The Reiki II Attunement opens the Reiki I student to an even greater flow of Universal Life-Force Energy. A Reiki Level II manual will be provided and a certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the class. Prerequisite: Usui Reiki – Level I certification. Class size is limited to 6.

Usui Reiki – Level III/Master Practitioner
This class will include guided meditation, instruction, practice and the Reiki III/Master Practitioner Attunement. Participants will learn the traditional Master symbol, two newer Reiki symbols, and the Reiki Breathing Technique which can be used to enhance one’s own energy and the distant Reiki process. Participants will also participate in a Water Ceremony celebrating their advancement as a Reiki Master Practitioner. Ethics will also be discussed in this class. The Reiki III/Master Practitioner Attunement opens the Reiki II student to an even greater flow of Universal Life-Force Energy. A Reiki Level III/Master Practitioner manual will be provided and a certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the class. Prerequisite: Usui Reiki – Levels I and II certification. Class size is limited to 6.

Take your practice to the next level with Karuna Reiki® which was developed by William L. Rand and The International Center for Reiki Training. Karuna translates as ‘compassionate action’ and helps one to heal on a deep cellular level.
The pre-requisite for Karuna Reiki® – Level I is that you are a certified Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and have been attuned to the Usui Master Symbol, and you have been practicing Usui Reiki for at least six months.
Karuna Reiki® – Level I
In this class you will learn about Kuan Yin and other Spiritual Beings and their roles in Karuna Reiki®. You will learn about the healing process and the origins of Karuna Reiki®. You will learn the first four of eight healing symbols, how to activate them, and how to give a Karuna Reiki® treatment. You will receive the Karuna Reiki® Level I Attunement and then have time to practice what you’ve learned by giving and receiving a Karuna Reiki® treatment. The Karuna One Practitioner Manual is provided. Upon completion of the class a certificate from The International Center for Reiki Training will be issued. Class size is limited to 6.

In this class you will learn about the Shadow Self – the part of the subconcious mind that creates unwanted experiences. We will do a guided meditation to contact the Shadow Self in a healthy way with the opportunity to get to know it and to heal it. You will learn the last four of the eight Karuna Reiki® symbols, how to activate them, and how to give a Karuna Reiki® treatment. You will receive the Karuna Reiki® Level II Attunement and then have time to practice what you’ve learned by giving and receiving a Karuna Reiki® treatment. The Karuna Two Practitioner Manual is provided. Upon completion of the class a certificate from The International Center for Reiki Training will be issued. Prerequisite: Karuna Reiki® – Level I. Class size is limited to 6.

Karuna Reiki® – Master Teacher
In this class we will discuss the Karuna Reiki® program and the Karuna Reiki® Master Symbols. You will receive the Karuna Reiki® Master Level I and II Attunements. You will learn the Violet Breath and the Level I and II Practitioner and Master Attunements with time to practice these techniques. We will discuss the differences between practitioner and master attunements. You will learn chanting and toning with time to practice each of these techniques by giving and receiving a Karuna Reiki® treatment. The Karuna Master Manual is provided. Upon completion of the class a certificate from The International Center for Reiki Training will be issued. Prerequisite: Karuna Reiki® – Levels I and II and you must be a certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher with knowledge of how to pass an attunement. Class size is limited to 6.

Karuna Reiki® – Master Teacher Practicum
Practice everything you learned in class receiving and giving Level I and II table sessions and reviewing the attunement process. Ask questions, have your concerns addressed, and receive feedback and guidance from Teresa about your personal progress.
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that all interested students schedule at least one Reiki session prior to taking any Usui or Karuna Reiki® class. It is important to establish a rapport with your Reiki Master Teacher who will act as your guide throughout all of your classes. Teresa will be available to consistently assist you with your personal and spiritual growth into the gentle and powerful realm of the Reiki energy. With unconditional love, Teresa has accepted her responsibility as a dynamic teacher to serve her life purpose through this beautiful ancient healing art.
